About The RoleWe are looking for a Housekeeper to join our enthusiastic team working 15 hours per weekend. Start and finish times can be flexible.

Essential skills and responsibilities:
To clean specific areas in line with Company policy and national cleaning standards
To provide a cleaning service in accordance with approved methods, standards and frequencies
To use cleaning equipment, machinery and cleaning materials as directed
To work in accordance with the day to day tasks and activities, as assigned
To be aware of physical surroundings and comply with health and safety guidelines and legislation
Ensure that any accidents at work, defects with machinery and building defects are reported to the Head of Housekeeping or the senior manager in a timely manner, and in accordance with Company policy
To treat patients and service users with dignity and respect Ensure that confidentiality is maintained, when coming into contact with patients and service users
Ensure that premises are locked and secured upon completion of duties, where appropriate
Participate in any auditing as directed by the Head of House keeping
To maintain a professional appearance at all times and wear appropriate footwear
Ensure compliance with mandatory training and attend other relevant training courses, as directed

About UsBaldock Manor is a 40-bed hospital in north Hertfordshire that provides specialist psychiatric services for adults. The hospital has two female PICU (Psychiatric Intensive Care) wards and two acute wards. Our PICU services provide care and support for women at crisis level with a severe mental disorder who require rapid assessment and stabilisation. Our acute wards care for older adults, usually 55 years or older, who need a short-term hospital stay, where we can stabilise their mental health. The average stay in our acute wards is less than forty days.
