Job Summary

We are seeking a keen and organised Housekeeper to join our Estate. The candidate will be responsible for maintaining good standards of cleanliness in the main house and 1 x 1 bedroom Air BnB property and 1 x 2 bedroom Air BNB property (9 months of the year), plus support in the shoot lodge (3 months of the year). This role offers an opportunity to work where attention to detail and good organisations/planning skills are important. Prior experience in cleaning is advantageous. The Housekeeper will play a vital role in the running of the above four properties. A recently refurbished three bedroom cottage is being offered for a reduced rent of 300 pcm, the cottage is a 3-5 minute walk from the main house.

Leighton Estate Woodlands is situated on the English/Welsh border. It is a 1000 acre Estate dealing in forestry and timber. We are a ten minute drive from the market town of Welshpool, which has a station, three supermarket and normal amenities.

Responsibilities

Clean the above properties, including bedrooms, bathrooms, kitchens, and communal spaces You will be a key holder for the main house alarm (very infrequent call out) Change bed linens, towels, ironing and organise supplies as required Co-ordinating Air BNB laundry with local laundry company Ensure all surfaces are dusted, vacuumed, mopped, cleaned and polished Restock amenities such as toiletries, towels, and cleaning supplies Report and/or deal with maintenance issues or damages

Qualifications

Previous experience in housekeeping and cleaning are preferred but not essential Good organisational skills are very helpful Ability to work independently and as part of our team Strong communication skills and a friendly demeanour Flexibility to work at a weekend (time off is provided lieu) This role offers an opportunity for individuals committed to maintaining good cleanliness standards while delivering exceptional service.
