We are recruiting a motivated and community-focused Housing & Community Engagement Support Officer to join our team.
Role Overview
This is a dual-purpose role combining community engagement with housing management.
One day per week
, you will lead delivery of our Breakfast Club service.
The rest of the week
, you will work as a Housing Officer, supporting residents, managing tenancy issues, and ensuring high standards of care and compliance.

Key Responsibilities
Breakfast Club (Thursdays)
Deliver the weekly Breakfast Club, including set-up, service, and safe operation
Provide excellent customer service and community engagement
Welcome and support attendees
Maintain a safe, inclusive environment
Record attendance and feedback
Manage equipment, supplies, and volunteers
Support outreach and engagement
Housing Officer Duties
Provide general support to the Housing team in delivering high-quality housing services.
Assist with tenant onboarding, tenancy sign-ups, and inductions.
Support with tenancy monitoring, welfare checks, and routine property visits.
Maintain accurate records, files, and case notes in line with organisational policies.
Assist with rent monitoring, arrears follow-up, and resident communications.
Liaise with external agencies, contractors, and support services as required.
Respond to resident queries professionally and efficiently.
Prepare documentation, letters, and reports related to housing operations.

Essential
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Empathy, professionalism, and patience
Ability to work independently and use initiative
Good organisational and record-keeping skills
Willingness to engage with vulnerable adults
Ability to work on Thursdays at the Breakfast Club
Desirable
Experience in supported housing, social care, or community services
Knowledge of safeguarding and risk management
Experience running community projects or group activities
