About The Foxton Centre:



The Foxton Centre works with Preston's most marginalised individuals, including rough sleepers, those experiencing, addiction, and mental health issues. We are a community-rooted charity focused on empowering people and supporting long-term change. We are looking for passionate and driven individuals who want to make a real impact

To provide high-quality, person-centred support to individuals with complex needs, including those with a history of rough sleeping, homelessness, or insecure housing. You will support clients living in shared accommodation through the Housing First model, as well as within our Off the Street Accommodation. This includes maintaining a caseload, offering 1:1 tailored support, advocating for clients, and working closely with partner agencies to sustain tenancies and promote overall wellbeing.

Key Responsibilities:



Client Support and Case Management



Maintain a caseload of clients and provide assertive, consistent, and ongoing 1:1 support tailored to individual needs Carry out thorough assessments and risk assessments, and conduct regular reviews in line with risk management protocols Offer practical and emotional support aligned with Housing First principles, empowering clients to engage and build on their strengths Support clients in accessing and maintaining tenancies, including shared housing arrangements Assist clients with managing benefits, budgeting, and attending key appointments Carry out welfare checks, safeguarding referrals, and room/property checks as needed Proactively engage with vulnerable or hard-to-reach individuals, including those with complex needs or challenging behaviours

Accommodation & HUB Support



Provide cover and support at our Off the Streets Accommodaton, including responding to immediate needs of rough sleepers Prepare and maintain rooms and shared spaces to ensure a welcoming environment Address incidents of anti-social behaviour promptly and sensitively Support clients through move-ins and move-outs, ensuring timely referrals and room readiness Monitor household utilities, furniture, and shared space issues

Multi-Agency and Community Work



Liaise and build relationships with housing, health, criminal justice, and substance misuse services Advocate on behalf of clients with external agencies where appropriate Lead and attend house or resident meetings, mediating issues and encouraging resident responsibility Represent The Foxton Centre in relevant forums and networks to promote service development

Monitoring, Administration & Teamwork



Record and monitor progress on case management systems and monitoring databases Compile statistics, reports, and evaluations of outcomes using evidence-based tools Attend team meetings, supervision, and training as required Ensure all client files and notes are up to date, accurate, and compliant with policies Contribute to service improvement and uphold the organisation's commitment to continuous learning and development

Person Specification:



Essential:

Experience working with individuals affected by homelessness or rough sleeping Skilled in managing complex and challenging behaviours or situations Experience of casework, including maintaining accurate records and reports Good understanding of housing systems, benefits, tenancy issues, and safeguarding procedures Ability to work independently and as part of a team Strong interpersonal skills, including advocacy and multi-agency liaison Understanding of the impact of mental health issues, substance misuse, and trauma on individuals Commitment to equality, diversity, and upholding professional boundaries
Desirable:

Knowledge of Housing First or trauma-informed approaches Experience working in accommodation-based settings or emergency provision Ability to coordinate multiple agencies to provide wraparound care

Pay: 26,320.00 per year
