Job Title: HR Administrator

Reports to: HR Adviser

Direct Reports: None

Location: Elland, Halifax

Purpose of the role: Provide proactive HR Administration support in line with company policies, quality standards and legislation. Including supporting sourcing of future #TeamTerberg employees, recruitment and selection process, onboarding of our talented individuals. You will work closely with the Internal Recruitment Consultant, hiring managers, and external recruitment agencies to attract, screen, and select candidates who are the best fit for our organisation. Support, facilitate, guide and advise managers and employees in line with company policy. Ensure effective employee engagement, training and development of all employees. To cover reception during lunch time and holidays, and be the first point of contact for callers and onsite visitors.

Responsibilities

Build positive and professional relationships with future and existing colleagues and the management team.

Supporting with the recruitment administration process and onboarding of employee including advertising positions, shortlisting candidates, arranging interviews and assessments

Assist with the development and updating of new HR Policies and manage the implementation of company policies.

Assist with all day to day HR queries from line management and employees.

Engage with new starters throughout the onboarding process, ensuring that all pre employment checks are managed in an timely and accurate manner.

Maintain accurate employee records to include, employee databases, personnel files, third party contacts etc.

Support in the design and delivery of the internal induction process.

General HR administration.

Manage the holidays and ensure that holidays are taken and booked in line with the holiday agreement.

Support the HR Adviser & Manager in recording employee absenteeism, ensuring comprehensive and meaningful Return to Works take place and accurate records maintained.

Recording annual appraisals and collating training / development plan requirements.

Assist the HR Adviser & Manager with delivering the communications charter including following up annual appraisals, career development and training.

Assist the HR Adviser & Manager with internal communications, i.e. preparing emails,designing poster, updating notice boards, preparing newsletters etc.

Answer incoming calls throughout Terberg DTS using computer based switchboard, to provide lunch and holiday cover.

Encourage and exhibit behaviours within the business that support our values and that create an environment where mutual trust and respect are encouraged.

Undertake any other duties consistent with the purpose of this job or to support the needs of the business.

Critical Skills Required:

Communications skills, both verbal and in writing, together with the ability to communicate at all levels.

Interpersonal skills and the ability to develop strong working relationships.

Ability to manage own workload independently prioritise tasks. Excellent organisation and prioritising skills.

The ability to work to tight deadlines, under pressure and with a sense of urgency. High attention to detail.

The ability to present and provide updates to managers and employees.

Self-motivational with the ability to challenge the status quo, and research and offer suggestions for improving efficiency or customer experience.

Critical Knowledge and Experience Required:

Previous experience in a fast paced HR or Administration environment, with a keen interest in HR if no previous experience.

Excellent, high level / advanced skills of Microsoft Office - Outlook, Word, Excel and Teams.

Good knowledge of PowerPoint.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: 26,000.00-28,000.00 per year
