Job Title: HR Advisor (Homes) - Elderly Care


Salary: 28,000 - 32,000 plus 10% SMART objectives based bonus paid quarterly


Hours: Full-time


Location: Edwinstowe, NG21 9PA

This role is fundamental to achieving Jasmine's mission and objectives by ensuring Team Members joining Jasmine are welcomed, supported, and successfully integrated into both their role and our values-driven culture. This role sits at the heart of the Team Members journey - from supporting recruitment, to onboarding and induction, through to embedding people into their teams and providing early support around wellbeing and absence. By being a visible presence in our homes and Support Hub, the People Support (Homes) strengthens engagement, improves retention, and ensures our Team Members feel connected, valued, and set up to thrive.

Day to Day Responsibilities for the People Support (Homes):


Recruitment Support


Support homes with the early stages of recruitment, including shortlisting, initial screening, and arranging interviews.
Ensure candidates have a positive and values-aligned experience throughout the process.
Contribute to attraction and recruitment initiatives that reflect the organisation's culture and values


Onboarding & Induction


Coordinate and deliver engaging induction experiences tailored to each role and service.
Ensure compliance, training, and documentation requirements are completed efficiently.
Act as the main point of contact for new starters throughout their first 90 days


Culture & Engagement


Be a visible and approachable presence within homes and the Support Hub to build relationships with team members.
Promote and embed organisational values into everyday practice.
Gather and act on feedback from new starters to improve the onboarding journey


Absence Support


Assist managers with absence management processes, including return-to-work conversations and tracking absence data.
Provide supportive check-ins with team members where appropriate, helping to balance wellbeing with attendance expectations.
Escalate concerns where patterns or risks are identified.
Train and develop management on effective absence management
Embed process


Retention & Development


Carry out regular check-ins with team members during their first year to support engagement and performance.
Highlight early signs of disengagement and work with managers to resolve issues.
Support the delivery of people initiatives to improve retention and wellbeing.


Collaboration & Projects


Partner with People Support and operational managers to strengthen the team members experience.
Provide feedback and insights to improve recruitment, onboarding, and absence processes.
Contribute to wider people projects that enhance culture and engagement.


One to Ones


Ensure one to one are held regularly, clearly documented and retained.
Ensure comments and takeaways are completed by team members
Support the management team to deliver effective and radically honest one to one discussions


People/Administrative Support


Provide ad hoc administrative support to the homes as required


Essential Requirements for the People Support (Homes) Role:


Experience in HR, recruitment, onboarding, and people engagement.
Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build trust quickly
A passion for people and a commitment to creating positive team member experiences
Confident in supporting sensitive conversations, including absence and wellbeing.
Organised, proactive, and able to manage multiple priorities
Live within 45 minutes of Nightingale (NG21 9PH) and St Andrews (NG34 9PL)
Comfortable working across multiple sites with minimal home working


Preferred Requirements for the Onboarding Support Role:


Experience in health and social care or a regulated, values-driven sector.
CIPD Qualification
Knowledge of HR processes including recruitment, absence, and compliance.
Coaching or mentoring skills.
