Role Description



As a standalone HR Advisor reporting to the Finance Director, you will be the HR face of the business, providing a professional and efficient HR service to employees and managers.

You will provide professional support and administration to the business on a day-to-day basis, including all transactional activities and advice relating to the full employee lifecycle ensuring compliance with legislative and business requirements.

Role Responsibilities



Responsibility for the day-to-day efficient and effective operation of the HR function. Assisting Managers with recruitment, including the creation of job specifications, uploading vacancies on job boards, shortlisting candidates, arranging interviews, interviewing with the hiring manager and management of the onboarding and offboarding process for employees. Maintenance of personnel files and employee data/records, ensuring they are accurate, complete and in line with GDPR. Administration of all documentation and communication between the Company and employees. Working closely with the Office Manager regarding absence management ensuring the policy is adhered to and actions taken are consistent across the business. Collation of monthly payroll data for the Finance Director to pass onto the payroll bureau. Be the first point of contact for all training providers including apprenticeships. Regularly review and update the handbook and polices in line with legislation changes. Manage and promote the Westfield Health cash plan scheme. Provide HR advice and support to Managers in relation to all staffing matters including disciplinary issues, grievances, performance management, training needs, salary reviews, etc. Take ownership of the implementation of new HR procedures and policies. Support employee engagement and well-being initiatives. Build strong, positive relationships with senior leaders, managers and employees. Ensure all advice and processes comply with current employment law and business strategies. Proactively identify areas for improvement and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives Other ad-hoc HR projects - may include employee surveys, sourcing appropriate training courses, salary-benchmarking reviews etc.

What you'll bring:



A recognised HR qualification or equivalent experience in an HR administration or advisory role. Experience of guiding employees and managers through HR processes. Experience of maintaining accurate employee records and generating HR reports. Proficient in using HRIS platforms. Knowledge of recruitment and talent acquisition best practices. Strong IT and analytical skills, with a good working knowledge of HR systems. Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a high level of attention to detail. A good understanding of employment law, with the confidence to advise managers appropriately. Ability to manage sensitive data with integrity and professionalism. Self-motivated, flexible, and resilient approach.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:



This is a part time position: 15-20 hours a week with some flexibility on actual hours/days worked.
