Job Description

The HR advisor will provide expert advice on employee relations matters within the not-for-profit sector. This permanent role offers the opportunity to work 90% remotely while ensuring compliance with employment policies and procedures.

  • Provide expert guidance on employee relations matters, including grievances, disciplinaries, and performance management.
  • Ensure all employee relations processes adhere to current employment law and organisational policies.
  • Support managers with advice and documentation to handle employee relations cases effectively.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of HR policies and procedures.
  • Maintain accurate records of all employee relations cases and outcomes.
  • Act as a point of contact for queries related to employment terms and conditions.
  • Provide training and support to managers on employee relations best practices.
  • Collaborate with the wider Human Resources team to ensure cohesive service delivery.
Remote working, with 1 day expected in York.Permanent role but ASAP start ideally.
A successful ER Advisor should have:
  • Previous experience in handling employee relations cases within the not-for-profit sector or similar environments.
  • A strong understanding of UK employment law and HR best practices.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with diverse teams.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously.
  • Proficiency in maintaining accurate records and documentation.
  • Ability to provide sound advice and support to managers in a professional manner.
