Fireaway Pizza is looking for a proactive and detail-oriented HR and Compliance Advisor to support our HR and operations teams in ensuring smooth recruitment, onboarding, employee retention, and compliance across the business. This is a 9-month maternity cover role, with the potential to become permanent based on business needs and performance. The ideal candidate will balance both the human resources and legal aspects of the business, ensuring that all operations comply with relevant laws and guidelines.
Key Responsibilities:
Recruitment & Onboarding:
Lead the initial stage of recruitment, including creating and posting job adverts, and screening and shortlisting candidates.
Support departments with recruitment, assisting in the creation of job descriptions and role specifications.
Ensure the smooth onboarding process for new hires by preparing new starter documentation.
Employee Retention & Development:
Assist with employee retention initiatives including conducting surveys, and analysing employee feedback.
Work towards developing Fireaway Pizza as an attractive employer of choice by creating a strong employer brand.
Ensure all employees have access to training and development opportunities, and work with relevant departments to ensure the training budget is effectively used.
Exit Interviews:
Conduct exit interviews with departing employees to identify areas for improvement and provide insights on potential changes to improve retention.
Compliance & Legal:
Oversee health and safety compliance across all departments, ensuring policies and procedures are implemented and followed.
Ensure the business complies with all relevant workplace laws and regulations (e.g., GDPR, labour laws).
Assist with the preparation and administration of all legal contracts, including Franchise agreements, NDAs and other supplier/vendor agreements related to the business.
Store Support & Compliance:
Work closely with the operations team to ensure store compliance with labour laws, GDPR, and operational standards.
Collaborate with marketing and operations teams to build effective recruitment campaigns to attract talent to stores.
Key Skills & Experience:
Strong understanding of UK employment law and workplace compliance (GDPR, health and safety, etc.).
Experience in recruitment, onboarding, and employee retention strategies.
Excellent organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Proficiency in using HR software and tools for recruitment, training, and compliance management.
Ability to work collaboratively with various teams across the business.
Detail-oriented with the ability to maintain a high level of accuracy in administrative tasks.
Qualifications:
A degree or qualification in Human Resources, Law or related field is preferred.
Previous experience in an HR or compliance role within a fast-paced environment is desirable.

Pay: 32,000.00-35,000.00 per year
