We are seeking an experienced, hands-on HR and Learning and Development Manager to manage our HR operations and lead the development of our people.
Lamont Pridmore is a family run, award-winning firm of Chartered Accountants, Tax and Business Advisers with offices throughout Cumbria and in Carnforth, Lancashire. We have been led by the same senior management team for the last 30 years who support our hard-working, high performing team.
Responsibilities
Human Resources
Lead and manage all HR operations, policies and procedures in line with UK employment law and company best practice.
Handle all HR matters on a day-to-day basis, including grievances, disciplinary issues and performance concerns.
Support and advise operational managers to apply HR policies and practices effectively.
Implement effective recruitment, induction, attendance, development and retention strategies.
Manage HR data, compliance, contracts and policies.
Assist the senior management team with the annual salary review process.
Support wellbeing, engagement, diversity and inclusion initiatives.
Learning & Development
Champion and develop the group training plan to meet the needs of the business and our people.
Support the development of professional qualifications and continuous learning and development for all staff in line with the business plan.
Evaluate the effectiveness of training and continuously improve learning outcomes.
About you
A relevant professional CIPD qualification would be preferred but not essential.
Strong working knowledge of UK employment law.
Experienced in developing and delivering effective learning and development programmes.
Proven experience in an HR or Learning and Development Manager role, ideally within a professional services environment.
A full UK driving licence is required, or you must be able to travel independently between our different office locations.
