We are seeking an experienced and dedicated HR administrator to join our HR team on a 12 month fixed term basis for maternity cover. This role will support the HR Manager in delivering all elements of HR in a vibrant and busy school, including maintaining HR records, supporting recruitment processes, and assisting with employee relations and compliance tasks.
During the tenure the school will be rolling out and HR management system and the successful candidate will play a key part in data preparation to facilitate the new system implementation. The HR team requires a proactive individual who can step into an established role and manage tasks with minimal supervision.
Key Responsibilities:
Maintain accurate and up-to-date HR records, both electronic and hard copy.
Data cleansing and preparation for a new HR system roll out.
Assist with the recruitment process, including preparing job adverts, shortlisting candidates, and arranging interviews.
Support the administration of standard HR documents such as offer letters, contracts, and employment changes.
Ensure compliance with safer recruitment policies and procedures.
Support the administration of absence management and return-to-work processes.
Assist with the maintenance of the Single Central Record.
Provide administrative support for HR projects and initiatives.
Respond to HR-related queries from staff and external stakeholders.
Ensure confidentiality and data protection in all HR activities.
Maintain accurate records.
Supporting all HR events and activities.
Skills and Qualifications:
Previous experience in HR administration or a similar role.
Strong organisational and time management skills.
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
Good communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Proficiency in HR software and Microsoft Office applications.
Understanding of HR policies and procedures.
Experience in the education sector is an advantage.
