Position Overview:

We're looking for a highly organised and proactive HR & Business Support Officer to help keep our organisation running smoothly. This role combines key administrative, operational, and HR support responsibilities and plays an essential part in maintaining compliance with employer obligations. You'll work closely with the Head of Legal and collaborate across departments to support our people, processes, and policies.

This role includes oversight of day-to-day administrative functions, helping manage compliance records, assisting with internal controls, maintaining staff records, payroll input, supporting recruitment and onboarding, and helping coordinate training and internal policy updates. Key Responsibilities



HR & People Support:

Maintain and monitor staff records and internal scoring system; Coordinate and log all leave, maintaining up-to-date tracking tools; Support end-to-end recruitment administration including advertising roles, scheduling interviews, and onboarding new starters; Maintain accurate HR records, supporting compliance with data protection and internal policies; Assist in the preparation and communication of HR policies, guidance and updates across the organisation; Support induction and ongoing staff training administration, and maintain training logs.

Operational Support:

Support daily business operations with efficient administrative and scheduling support; Coordinate internal meetings, prepare agendas, take minutes, and ensure follow-up actions are logged; Manage calendars, travel bookings, accommodation, and diary conflicts for managers as required; Assist in managing contracts with third-party suppliers and service providers ; Maintain well-organised physical and digital files for easy retrieval and compliance.

Compliance Program Development

- Assist with developing, implementing, and reviewing compliance policies, procedures and guidance documents in line with laws and best practices; Conduct compliance risk assessments; Support the Head of Legal in maintaining health and safety compliance records; Assist with reporting to the Board and senior management on compliance issues, risks and improvements; Assist in planning and delivering internal compliance training, webinars, and updates to promote understanding and accountability; Monitor and maintain internal registers and compliance logs as directed.

Requirements

:

Previous experience in an administrative, HR, or compliance-related role.

Excellent organisational and record-keeping skills.

Strong written and verbal communication abilities.

Confident working independently and managing multiple priorities.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word, Teams).

Desirable

Experience supporting recruitment processes.

Familiarity with GDPR or HR systems.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From 28,000.00 per year
