Do you want to make a real, positive difference to how people feel at work?
If you're passionate about wellbeing and enjoy working with data, people, and partners to get the best from our resources, this could be the role for you.
As our HR Consultant (Wellbeing & Contracts), you'll take the lead on embedding wellbeing across the Council -- shaping initiatives, evaluating their impact, and ensuring staff have access to effective, inclusive support.
A key part of your role will be managing wellbeing supplier contracts -- from monitoring performance and budgets to maintaining collaborative relationships that deliver real value for money. You'll work closely with managers, employees, and partners to make sure our wellbeing services remain responsive, high-quality, and aligned to the Council's People Strategy.
No two days are the same: one day you might be analysing data and feedback to improve a wellbeing offer; the next, you'll be meeting suppliers, resolving an issue, or launching a new campaign to support staff health and engagement.
Please note the position involves hybrid working and is fixed-term for one year.
We are looking for candidates who:
Work independently, balancing challenge with collaboration to secure good outcomes
Build strong relationships with suppliers, managers, and staff to ensure effective service delivery
Communicate clearly across digital and face-to-face channels
Use data, research, and feedback to drive improvement and innovation
Promote equality, diversity, and inclusion in all aspects of their work

This role offers a unique blend of wellbeing leadership and hands-on contract management, giving you the autonomy to shape meaningful initiatives while ensuring our resources deliver real value. You'll work closely with supportive colleagues, collaborate with expert suppliers, and see the direct impact of your work on staff experience and organisational culture.
