We're excited to offer an opportunity for an enthusiastic HR Consultant to join our Policy and Operations Team. These vacancies have arisen due to internal development and progression, and we're looking for someone who shares our commitment to excellent customer service and collaborative working.
As part of a dynamic and supportive team, you'll be the first point of contact for HR advice across the Council's four directorates. You'll play a key role in delivering high-quality, consistent HR support, ensuring our people feel valued and empowered.
You'll work closely with Senior HR Consultants and HR Business Partners to support a wide range of HR activities, including:
Casework support across the employee lifecycle: recruitment, capability, disciplinary, grievance, Dignity at Work, redundancy, retirement
Supporting organisational change initiatives within the Council and with partner organisations
Providing advice on HR policies and procedures, including maternity, paternity, and other types of leave
Delivering accurate management information and data analysis to support workforce planning
Planning and facilitating learning events on a variety of HR topics
Contributing to the development and review of HR policies and procedures
We're seeking someone who:
Has experience in a Human Resources advisory or consultancy role
Is confident working collaboratively and communicating effectively with a range of stakeholders
Has strong IT and data analysis skills
Is passionate about delivering excellent service and continuous improvement
Ideally holds or is working towards a CIPD qualification
