The Witton/ Birmingham operation now have an exciting development opportunity for a

HR Apprentice (apprenticeship training will be provided)

to join their HR team.

Summary:



Working as an apprentice in the Human resources department will provide first class customer service to the organisation in all HR generalist functions. This position will be based at the Witton/ Birmingham site.

Essential Functions:



Perform attendance tracking and monitor attendance for UK sites in line with current Time & Attendance (T&A) policies including but not limited to:
- Daily monitoring of the absence hotline.

- Reporting absences to Line Management and HRM in a timely manner.

- Ensure Return to Work forms are received and chased where necessary.

- Produce reports on triggers in line with Time & Attendance policy.

- Maintain and update T & A system and support Supervisors as required.

Prepare all UK paperwork and update HCM system. Liaise with payroll function with all pay and payroll related information being co-ordinated in conjunction with the HRM including but not limited to:
- Merit pay awards

- Annual salary increases

- Shift change letters

- Raising appropriate PAF forms as required

- Any other UK admin requirement as directed by HRM

Creates and maintains personal files in compliance with HR Audit requirements and applicable legal requirements. Provide UK reports and graphs as required and directed on but not limited to the following:
- Absence and overtime.

- Headcount.

- Holiday Entitlement/Balances.

- Any other reporting requirements.

Process enrolments, changes and terminations of participants in all benefit plans and programmes including but not limited to:
- Private Healthcare

- Cycle to Work scheme

Support HR Generalist to ensure all UK pensions administration is managed correctly for payroll and reporting to Fidelity Master Trust inc starters/leavers/personal details changes/ increase and decrease in contributions/ joining or leaving salary sacrifice scheme etc. Manage invoice processing for UK HR Department. Support all admin related leave issues i.e. maternity; paternity; adoption; jury service; extended holidays etc. Act as note taker as required in investigation and disciplinary meetings etc. Assist the HR team with assigned administrative duties including but not limited to:-
- Arranging interviews.

- Filing.

- Inductions/probationary reviews chasing return of completed paperwork.

- Audit preparation.

- Carry out any T&A/ HCM testing for UK HR as directed.

- Keep up to date with T&A system to provide coaching and support for T&A supervisors at UK sites as required either face to face or remotely.

- Ensure full compliance with current audit/control rules.

- Produce swipe cards as required keeping a list of names and reasons for renewing cards to monitor potential abuse of system.

These duties will be reviewed after each year of the apprenticeship.

Knowledge/Qualification/Education



5 GCSE's (equivalent to C or above) to include English, Mathematics essential. Ideally, educated to 'A' Level standard preferred but not essential.

Experience

:

Office based work experience preferable.

Technical Competencies



IT literate. MS Office - Word and Excel. Workday, SAP knowledge advantageous.

Demonstrate ability to carry out administration and management of processes. Excellent communication skills (written and verbal). Able to interact with all levels of staff and management. Excellent analytical skills. Able to prioritise and organise tasks with good time management.
