Job Description

We are seeking a highly organised and knowledgeable HR Generalist to join a professional team within the Life Sciences sector. This role, based in Cambridge, involves supporting all aspects of human resources management and ensuring compliance with organisational policies.

  • Administer and manage HR policies and procedures effectively.
  • Support recruitment processes, including job postings and candidate coordination.
  • Ensure compliance with employment laws and regulations.
  • Provide guidance on employee relations and performance management.
  • Maintain accurate employee records and manage HR systems.
  • Assist in the design and delivery of training and development programmes.
  • Manage payroll and benefits administration efficiently.
  • Support organisational change initiatives within the department.
  • Assist with global HR projects

A successful HR Generalist should have:
  • Strong knowledge of HR processes and best practices
  • Experience in managing recruitment, employee relations, payroll, and compliance activities.
  • Proficiency in HR systems and administrative tasks.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks effectively and with a high level of accuracy.
  • A relevant qualification in human resources or a related field.
  • Live locally to Cambridge and able to be office based at least 3 days per week
Our client is a well-established organisation within the Life Sciences sector. This medium-sized company is committed to fostering a structured and efficient work environment while maintaining high standards in employee management and development. You will be part of a global, wider HR team, however you will be the sole person responsible for HR within the Cambridge office, supporting circa 30 employees.
  • Competitive salary, negotiable depending on experience
  • Performance-related target bonus of 10%.
