Job Title: HR Manager

Reports To: Operations Director

Contract: Full-time, permanent

Hours: 40 hours per week, Monday-Friday

(TERM TIME ONLY)

Purpose of Role

To support the delivery of a high-quality, compliant, and proactive HR service across the group, supporting strategic people objectives, safeguarding responsibilities, and regulatory compliance for independent SEN schools.

Based at our school in Bolton, with occasional travel to our other schools.

Key Responsibilities

Employee Relations & Case Management: Provide expert advice on ER matters ensuring legally compliant outcomes.

Recruitment, Onboarding & Vetting: Lead safer recruitment and compliance with KCSIE Part 3.

Policy, Compliance & HR Governance: Maintain HR policies and ensure compliance with employment law and HSE guidance.

Learning, Development & Performance: Coordinate appraisals, training, and staff engagement initiatives.

Person Specification

Essential: CIPD Level 5+, HR management experience, knowledge of employment law, safeguarding, and strong communication skills.

Desirable: Experience within SEN or therapeutic education, BrightHR/other HR system knowledge, CIPD Level 5 or above qualification.

Experience: 5 years+ experience for minimum of 100 FTEs'
