The Human Resources Manager is responsible for delivering a modern, sustainable and effective HR and internal communication strategy to promote business culture, develop our employees as well as attracting/retaining talent. This role sits within the Senior Leadership Team and is expected to contribute to the strategic and operational management and direction of the company in pursuit of the company goals.

Role Outline

  • Strategy and Development:
  • Develop and implement strategies for HR and internal communications to fulfil Company targets
  • Contribute to overall business strategy and annual budget process
  • General and Task Management:
  • Develop a culture, processes, policies and systems that enable employees to perform and thrive to support the Company delivering sustainable profitable growth while championing diversity, inclusion, equality and wellbeing throughout the organisation
  • Develop an active, efficient and modern communication mechanism to ensure that employees are familiar with the Company\'s mission, goals, policies, and expectations.
  • Ensure an effective management and implementation of all HR activities and processes that are legally compliant
  • Actively support the leadership development of Senior Leadership Team (SLT) members
  • Support current and future business needs through the recruitment, development, engagement, motivation and preservation of employees
  • Develop and maintain efficient pay plan and benefits program to attract and keep talent within the company
  • People Development:
  • Provide leadership, coordination and coaching to the team, ensuring they are trained enabling them to achieve the operational and financial metrics within their areas of responsibility and succeed in their roles
  • To manage the development of the team in line with performance management procedures within the business
  • Ensure strong communication between teams under leadership to facilitate exchange of information and in order to implement change and improvements
  • Responsible for developing the appropriate organisational structure, resource plans and culture to support the business objectives and customer deliverables
  • Complete regular performance reviews and dialogues, and manage any other people issues
  • Ensure that the function operates in accordance with any health, safety and environmental policies and procedures to ensure the safety and wellbeing of staff and visitors and any other organisational and ethical requirements
  • Financial Budget & Control:
  • Follow and optimise costs relative to HR and communication activities
  • Input and hold responsibility for their department budget and support company financial development by providing forecasting according to Business controller request
  • Relationship Management:
  • Work collaboratively, negotiate and engage with key stakeholders, SLT members to facilitate delivery of the company strategy and results
  • Ensure HR representativeness of the company into group, BA and division network
  • Network with Global HR and specialist functions to create pro-active support and HR solutions for the business areas
  • Other Duties:
  • Carry out other reasonable duties as requested by the company
Education/Qualifications/Experience
  • CIPD qualified
  • Good knowledge of employment law & best practice policy & procedures
  • Proven ability in human resource management experience
  • Ability to manage and direct key HR procedures such as recruitment, disciplinary and grievance, medical capability, redundancy, pay review, payroll and benefits including pension governance and exit strategies for employees
  • Degree qualified or equivalent is preferred but not essential
