The Job

The HR Manager will be responsible for leading the delivery of the HR & Training services for the site, partnering with the organisation to add value to the people agenda and business goals.

HR Manager Responsibilities:

- Ensuring the effective delivery of internal and external resourcing and recruitment, providing pragmatic advice and support to managers.

- Arrange and undertake interviews and assessments and provide input and professional advice and knowledge to decision making and feedback to candidates as required.

- Ensuring the offer process and the preparation of contracts of employment is conducted in timely manner and interfacing with the HR Apprentice for on boarding purposes.

- Analyse and evaluate issues connected to UK employment law, using appropriate data to provide solutions, consequences and recommendations to senior managers.

- Providing support and guidance to Line Managers on HR policies and HR related issues in terms of day to day human resources management.

- Provide professional support on a range of case work including disciplinary, capability, sickness, absence and grievance issues.

- Ensure effective monitoring of sickness trends and remedial action and to facilitate a proactive approach to absence management, ensuring a smooth return to work process and involving Occupational Health when required.

HR Manager Skills:

- CIPD Qualified - Level 5 or equivalent

- Previous experience of operating in a generalist role

- Previous experience of developing a team

- Previous experience of partnering with an organisation
- Understanding of all Human resources functions
- Human Resources Information Systems
- Up to date knowledge of UK employment law
- Learning and Development activities
- Deployment and analysis of engagement surveys

This is a fixed term contract opportunity with the ability to work on a hybrid basis and an early finish on a Friday.
