We have a current opportunity for a HR Manager on a permanent basis with our client who is a market leader in renewable energy; from the development, design and construction of large scale solar and BESS installations, to their operation and maintenance, and market optimisation of BESS assets across the UK, and across Northern Europe.

The postholder will be responsible for the delivery of HR generalist services during a period of maternity leave (including employee relations, case management and guidance/coaching of people related matters) whilst also supporting the HR Director in the delivery of HR foundations and strategic matters that enables the business to meet both its planned growth and company objectives. The incumbent will support setting the standards for a best in class HR service, with a particular focus on training, development, performance management, and employee journey.

Key Accountabilities & Responsibilities

  • Take responsibility for delivering a high-quality professional HR service, acting as an ambassador and champion across training, development, benefits and employee engagement
  • Provide strategic support in building a framework of performance management, including but not limited the HRIS to manage the process of objectives and appraisals
  • Work in partnership with managers to identify training needs for their team, including assessment of Personal Development Plans (PDP\'s) to understand and identify possible training requirements across the business
  • Manage and maintain all staff training records and training courses, ensuring delivery of re-certification and renewals is met without risk to the business
  • Ensure all external relationships with suppliers are managed efficiently and in line with business needs, where relevant introducing and managing key performance metrics
  • Producing offer letters & contracts as required, ensuring pre-employment and post-employment checks are managed efficiently and in line with our legal obligations
  • Provide appropriate and legislative HR advice in respect of disciplinary, grievance and employee relations
  • Support an engaging employee onboarding process, including thorough benefits, reward and recognition information
  • Act as single point contact (SPC) and champion for employee and stakeholder related queries of benefits, reward and EAP
  • Manage internal employee engagement strategy and communications
  • Ensure all employment records are accurately maintained across HR, payroll and systems, working in partnership with finance to ensure qualitive data
  • Act as Employee Assistance Program (EAP) ambassador, supporting the well-being of employees and managers across both sensitive and practical information and new projects/initiatives
  • Ensure internal HR policies, approvals and processes are relevant and compliant with practices and the law, providing coaching as appropriate in line with legislation and driving review and revision as necessary
  • General HR and administrative tasks, including but not limited to management of the leaver process, HR letters, holiday administration and raising of purchase orders etc.
  • Support the development and implementation of HR systems, tools and employee platforms
  • Work in partnership with the HR Director and team, ensuring our day-to-day obligations can be met

  • Carry out all work in accordance with the rules applicable within the company and the applicable laws and regulations in the field of health, safety, the environment and quality (HSEQ);
  • Report any situation that may be suspected of posing a risk to health, safety, and the environment or quality; and,
  • Ensure safe working conditions and working methods that meet the requirements set for the performance of the work in question.

Qualifications & experience
  • CIPD Level 7
  • Extensive HR best practice and up to date employment law knowledge
