The Role



We're looking for an experienced HR professional to help us maintain and enhance our strong people management practices. You'll be the first point of contact for employees, providing HR support while ensuring compliance with UK employment law and best practices. You'll also work closely with the Leadership Team to drive HR initiatives that promote employee engagement, well-being, and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities



Maintain and manage the Company's HR system (BreatheHR) and Employee Portal. Provide expert HR advice to Leadership, ensuring compliance with UK employment law and HR best practices. Coach and support Line Managers on employee relations (ER) matters, including performance, absence, disciplinary, and grievance procedures. Review, develop, and improve HR policies to enhance employee experience and ensure legal compliance. Oversee HR administration, including onboarding, leavers, and contract changes. Support recruitment activities to attract top talent and ensure fair hiring practices. Lead change management initiatives, including restructures and redundancies. Champion equality, diversity, and employee engagement across the company. Manage the Company's performance appraisal process. Monitor and report key HR metrics, such as sickness rates and staff retention. Work closely with Finance to ensure payroll compliance with UK regulations. Ensure staff training and development programs remain up to date.

Your Skills & Experience



Experienced HR generalist, ideally within the food production or manufacturing sector. CIPD qualified or equivalent experience. Strong knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practices. Proven ability to lead HR projects and initiatives. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build trust and influence stakeholders. Pragmatic and commercially aware, with a proactive and flexible approach. Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines. High level of accuracy and attention to detail. Proficient in IT, including MS Office and HR software.

Contract & Benefits



Permanent, role based at our Holsworthy factory. 28 days holiday, increasing with length of service.

Pay: 35,000.00-40,000.00 per year
