Job Title: HR Manager

Work Location: Transcal Limited, Livingston

Additionally, our Livingston facility also engages in aerospace and rail interior work, providing market resilience and a competitive edge Due to our ongoing achievements and expansion, we are presently seeking to add to our highly skilled team with the recruitment of a HR Manager.

Your main purpose is:

To install best working practices for the HR function, including:

HR related Legal compliance HR processes and procedures Staff recruitment Training programmes Performance management and personal development
While the role is based at Livingston you will be required to perform various tasks for Transcal Ltd which operates from Livingston and Bristol and Transcal Engineering, based in Pershore. The goal is, through time, to unify HR across Transcal Group companies and sites in the UK.

Key Responsibilities and Duties:

Responsible for the HR function, leading the development and implementation of appropriate HR related procedures and processes to ensure effective HR related legal compliance, and to support the creation of a constructive and positive working environment for all employees. Manage complex employee relations casework including dispute resolutions, claims, disciplinaries, grievances, absence, retirement and redundancy. Oversight of HR team at Transcal Engineering, Pershore (2 HR Admin assistants) Apply HR and business knowledge evidencing appropriate decision-making skills. Develop and implement performance management and personal development processes. Manage payroll process and keep accounts appraised of any changes. Develop and implement an effective recruitment process - provide professional oversight on recruitment strategies and employee terms and conditions and benefits Carry out new starter inductions. Support the management of talent and succession planning. Drive alignment between HR strategy and business goals. Continuously monitor and review HR policies and processes and implement changes where necessary. Participate in the implementation of specific projects, procedures and guidelines to help align the workforce with the strategic goals of the organisation. Support change management processes.
Qualifications

Educated to degree level is desirable. A CIPD qualification is strongly preferred. Graduates with a level 7 qualification preferred. An MBA in human resource management is an alternative. We will also consider BTEC HNC/HND in human resource management.
Previous Exprerience

Proven HR generalist experience of three to five years is expected. Previous experience in Manufacturing environment strongly preferred. Previous experience in an organisation going through significant growth and associated change desirable.

Give recognition for good performance. Ability to perform consistently under pressure. Highly confidential.
