We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Human Resources Manager to lead our HR department. You will be the sole HR specialist within a small business with 35 employees. Team members are both office based and field based, located across the UK & Ireland. You will be a member of the Senior Management Team, with 5 other Managers and company Directors. You will be key to shaping, overseeing and providing all aspects of HR support throughout the company. The successful candidate will be responsible for directly providing / managing all aspects of human resources practices and processes, ensuring alignment with organisational goals. Duties
Develop and implement HR strategies aligned with organisational objectives
Manage recruitment processes, including writing job descriptions, liaison with recruiters and/or advertising, involvement in interviews
Oversee employee onboarding, training programmes, and performance management systems
Provide HR support throughout the organisation
Identify trends and inform decision-making
Ensure compliance with employment laws and company policies
Lead employee relations initiatives to promote a positive work environment
Support employee development opportunities
Manage personnel files, personnel contracts and issuing employee letters
Plan and implement training programs.
Support managers on performance management and feedback
Serve as a liaison between employees and management, help resolve employee conflicts and grievances
Support the performance review process and all other HR processes
Implement strategies to improve employee morale and retention
Develop, maintain and enforce HR policies and procedures
Manage HRIS systems for record keeping, reporting, and data analysis purposes
Facilitate training sessions on HR policies, workplace safety and company policies
Experience
Proven management experience within human resources
Supervising experience in a fast-paced organisational setting
Knowledge of human resources management systems
Excellent communication and presentation skills for engaging diverse audiences
Demonstrated ability to lead change initiatives, engage employees with change and foster organisational development
Negotiation, mediation, and the ability to build relationships are vital skills for managing employee relations
Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills are critical for interacting with employees and stakeholders throughout the business, and potentially with key customers
