Job Overview



We're looking for an experienced and proactive HR Manager to lead our people strategy and operations across our UK sites, based from our Abergorki site. This is an exciting opportunity for a capable HR generalist who thrives in a hands-on, fast-paced environment and is passionate about building a positive employee experience.

You'll be the go-to expert for all things HR - from employee relations and performance management to recruitment, payroll, engagement, and compliance. As a key partner to the senior leadership team, you'll shape and deliver people initiatives that support our commercial goals and company culture.

Key Responsibilities



Act as a trusted advisor to the Leadership Team and Line Managers on all HR matters.

Lead and manage employee relations, including investigations, disciplinary processes, grievances, and appeals.

Drive recruitment, onboarding, and retention strategies.

Oversee payroll and benefits administration in collaboration with the MD.

Lead performance management and appraisal processes.

Deliver engagement, wellbeing, and culture initiatives - including surveys and action plans.

Ensure compliance with employment law and internal HR policies.

Maintain HR systems, KPIs, and HR dashboards (e.g., headcount, absence, turnover, gender pay, etc.).

Manage training needs analysis and support learning and development programmes.

Develop and implement HR strategies aligned with the company's objectives.

Champion workforce and succession planning.

Model and lead on safer recruitment practices.

Continuously improve HR processes and policy documentation.

About You



Proven experience as a HR Manager or Senior HR Business Partner.

CIPD Level 5 (minimum) or equivalent qualification.

Solid understanding of UK employment law and HR best practices.

Experience with payroll systems and employee benefits administration.

Strong coaching, influencing, and interpersonal skills.

Analytical, commercially aware, and confident using HR metrics.

A natural problem solver with a hands-on, can-do attitude.

Comfortable working at pace, balancing strategic thinking with operational delivery.

Ideally, experience in the Logistics and Warehousing sector or a similarly, people-focused environment.
