The successful candidate will be a key member of the Senior Leadership Team and have overall strategic and operational responsibility for all aspects of the HR function, business support and H&S functions across the organisation.
We are looking for an innovative and high performing leader with a track record of achievement within human resources. Leadership experience is essential together with excellent communication skills, knowledge of payroll practices and a passion for workforce development and employee engagement.
Responsibilities
Providing support, advice and guidance to line managers, employees and external stakeholders.
Using specialist knowledge and expertise as well as external support from our commissioned employment law providers to provide advice and guidance on all aspects of HR activity and delivery and acting as a key point of contact for all employees and management.
Supporting the HR administration, managers, and senior staff in all aspects of people management.
- Managing the administrative processes in relation to people management, supporting and guiding line managers as necessary
- Proactively sharing HR intelligence to ensure management is equipped with the necessary support and information
- Managing HR budgets
- Providing support and guidance in the management of rota systems
- Managing HR policies and procedures
- Co-ordination and development of all recruitment systems and processes.
- Co-ordinating onboarding and induction activities, continually reviewing the effectiveness of the on boarding and induction process whilst identifying areas of improvement aligned to organisational development.
- Coordination of Trustee Board Recruitment, on boarding and induction.
- Providing coaching and support to colleagues on internal procedures, policies and processes.
- Advising line managers on Employment Relations issues and processes including disciplinary, grievance, absence management, performance management, etc.
- Supporting the delivery of the HR strategy in both planning and implementation via project related activity and ensuring HR operations are robust.
- Undertaking research and integrating data to help inform HR activity and support measurement of achievements.
- Ensuring all employee and Trustee Board members personnel records are accurately maintained, including Right to Work and DBS checks, and ensuring this is kept up to date.
- Ensuring all employees hold up to date contracts of employment, recording changes to employee terms and conditions have relevant paperwork such as the production of contract variation letters.
- Ensure the HR system is fully updated, ensuring the system holds correct information, documentation and policies always.
- Assist in the collation and preparation of all payroll information.
- Provide support to management with regards to employee Access to Work applications and other employee welfare initiatives, ensuring all paperwork is fully completed and stored accordingly.
- Manage in conjunction with the Senior Management Team, staff benefits and remuneration, conducting necessary reviews and research to ensure salaries and benefits are competitive.
- Manage the organisations H&S reporting platform and ensure organisational compliance.

To contribute to the effective monitoring and evaluation of Nottinghamshire Mind's services and ensure all outcomes are evidenced.

Experience
ESSENTIAL
CIPD membership with a Level 5 qualification (or equivalent by experience)
At least 2 years' experience of working in HR
Experience of analysing data and providing insights and recommendations
Experience of developing and reviewing HR policies and procedures
Experience of Health & Safety compliance
Up to date demonstrable knowledge and experience of recruitment and selection
Up to date with the latest developments in EDIE, wellbeing practices
Experience of advising employees and managers on a range of employee relations including complex change processes and performance management
DESIRABLE
Experience in an HR function in a similar sized charity
Experience of delivering training and/or coaching to staff to improve awareness and skills in delivery of HR matters.
Experience of implementing and working with HR management platforms, such as Bright HR
