Job Description


We are seeking an HR Office Administrator, who will be based at the Department\'s central Cambridge site, to provide a comprehensive HR and administration support service for contract research staff and visitors. You will be assigned to the HR Office (Research Staff & Visitors) and will be part of a team who provide this service, although the role will be primarily focussed on providing support for visitors. You will play a key part in supporting the effective operation of the Department by promoting good HR practice and employee relations aligned to University policies and procedures. The team in the HR Office (Research Staff & Visitors) provide an accessible and authoritative point of contact for all contract research staff and visitor HR issues.

The successful candidate will be educated to HND/HNC level, level 4/5 vocational qualification or an equivalent level of practical experience, and be proficient in the use of Microsoft Office. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential requirements for this role, as well as the ability to organise and prioritise your own workload. Previous administrative experience within an HR environment is required and experience of using University of Cambridge administrative processes would be desirable.

Fixed-term: The funds for this post are available for 3 years in the first instance.
