We're looking for a HR Officer to join our team and play a key role in supporting both LTi Metaltech and LTi Vessco. This is a hands-on, varied generalist role covering all aspects of the employee lifecycle. It's a fantastic opportunity to get exposure to all areas of the business.
ABOUT THE ROLE
HR Operations
Lead all aspects of HR administration, acting as first point of contact for internal and external customers regarding recruitment, pay and benefits, policies and procedures.
Manage the HR inbox, ensuring timely and professional responses.
Administer HR systems.
Complete the full onboarding process for new starters and offboarding for leavers, ensuring all checklists are completed.
Maintain accurate employee records in line with GDPR.
Prepare HR documentation including contracts and letters.
Support the administration of employee benefit schemes.
Recruitment & Onboarding
Facilitate end-to-end recruitment, from advertising to selection.
Manage pre-employment checks including references and right-to-work.
Build relationships with agencies and negotiate competitive rates.
Oversee onboarding and offboarding processes, ensuring a smooth experience.
Employee Relations
Support line managers in managing absence, disciplinaries, grievances, and sickness cases in a timely and compliant manner.
Support absence management processes, including monitoring the Bradford Factor and compiling return-to-work documentation.
Training & Development
Help identify training needs and coordinate programmes.
Administer our Training Passport initiative.
Support apprentices, interns, and placement students in line with study commitments.
Support the PDR process and ensure training plans are followed up.
Wellbeing
Lead wellbeing initiatives and coordinate Occupational Health.
Promote a positive culture aligned with company values.
Payroll & Reward
Provide accurate payroll data to Finance.
Support salary benchmarking to ensure competitiveness and compliance.
Local Community & Employer Branding
Build and maintain relationships with local education providers to promote LTi as an employer of choice.
Support initiatives such as placements, open days, and community events.
Wider Business Support
Assist with company events, travel arrangements, and internal communications.
Provide reception cover and general office administration when required.
ABOUT YOU
Experience
Prior experience in a comparable HR role.
Experience of employee relations casework (e.g. absence management, disciplinaries, grievances).
Recruitment experience at all levels.
Working in a manufacturing or engineering industry (not essential).
Sound administration experience.
Skills and Knowledge
CIPD Level 3 qualified.
Good knowledge of employment law and HR best practice.
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
