Job Description

Main Purpose of the Position



Working with the HR Manager to provide an effective, professional service and support to all plant employees. Ideal opportunity for an individual wanting to progress their career to a HR Manager role in the future (3-5 years)



Day shift 39 hours per week



Monday - 8.00am to 3.30pm



Tuesday to Thursday - 8.00am to 4.00pm



Friday - 8.00am to 3.30pm



Key Responsibilities:



Deliver effective HR support to the HR Manager and site

Manage HR Inbox and pigeon hole

First point of contact for day to day HR queries

Assisting with the recruitment process, raising requisitions in Ardagh People, and arranging interviews and interview packs

Reporting absence and other HR figures ahead of deadlines for daily, weekly and monthly meetings, producing graphs etc as required for HR Manager to present HR information in senior management meetings

Preparing PowerPoint presentations for HR Manager as required

Payroll administration for the monthly payroll, ensure sox compliance, and all paperwork uploaded for processing within payroll deadlines (including Time & Attendance, Overtime, Sickness stats and holiday recording)

Arranging medicals - new / existing employees

Maintaining and updating employee records on success factors (Open Text) and paper files

Administration required during the employee lifecycle including issuing offers, change of roles, leaver administration etc, ensuring signed copies are saved on employee records.

Prepare paperwork for onboarding and ensure right to work checks are undertaken.

Update private medical participants each month

Update SAP with absences, compensation and working rules.

Manage occupational health surveillance appointments for medical screening, referrals and flu jabs.

Raise Purchase orders on SAP, mainly for Recruitment and Occupational health and follow through the approval process as necessary.

Long service, retirement and reward and recognition administration as required

Ensure appropriate communications are placed on HR site notice boards and maintain as necessary.

Create standard operating procedures for all HR Activities and maintain as required.

Scanning paperwork to employee files

Preparing for disciplinary and grievance hearings and taking notes at such meetings when required

Ad hoc HR support to the management team as required.

Professional Requirements



Qualifications/Experience



At least 3 year's experience working in HR in a similar capacity

Experience of working in a manufacturing environment

Experience of using SAP

Competent to use Excel to generate spreadsheets and display data

Experience using a HR system

Experience using a time and attendance system

CIPD Level 5 Qualified or working towards



Languages



English, written and verbal



Computer Skills/literacy



Microsoft Office, Excel, Word. Teams, Powerpoint,
