Position Summary
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented HR Operations Specialist/Manager to join our growing team. This role is a critical part of our HR function, serving as the backbone for all day-to-day HR activities. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the smooth and compliant execution of HR policies, procedures, and systems, contributing to a positive and efficient employee experience.
Key Responsibilities
HR Administration & Systems:
Manage and maintain the Human Resources Information System (HRIS) with a high degree of accuracy, ensuring all employee data, records, and files are up-to-date and confidential.
Oversee employee lifecycle processes, from onboarding new hires to managing offboarding and exit procedures.
Administer and process payroll, benefits, and compensation programs in collaboration with finance and external vendors.
Policy & Compliance:
Ensure all HR operations are in full compliance with local, state, and federal labor laws and company policies.
Assist in developing, implementing, and communicating new or updated HR policies and procedures.
Conduct internal audits of HR processes and records to identify and mitigate compliance risks.
Employee Support:
Serve as the first point of contact for employee inquiries regarding HR policies, benefits, payroll, and other related matters.
Provide guidance and support to employees and managers on a variety of HR-related topics.
Assist in resolving employee relations issues, providing documentation and support as needed.
Reporting & Analytics:
Generate and analyze HR data and metrics on a regular basis to provide insights on key areas such as turnover, absenteeism, and recruiting effectiveness.
Prepare reports for management to support data-driven decision-making and continuous improvement.
Process Improvement:
Identify opportunities for process improvements and efficiency gains within the HR function.
Help implement and manage new HR technologies and software to streamline operations.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
3-5 years of experience in an HR Operations or Generalist role, preferably within a fast-paced technology or startup environment.
Solid understanding of HR best practices and labor laws.
Proficiency with HRIS and payroll systems.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to work with data and generate reports.
Exceptional attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Proven ability to handle confidential information with discretion and integrity.
Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
