About the role and about you
This is an exciting time to join Historic Royal Palaces in the newly-created role of HR Operations Manager as we look to design and implement a new shared services model within our team. This role will lead and develop our frontline operational team of HR Assistants and an HR Administrator so that we're always delivering a consistent, efficient and enhanced service to our internal customers.
We are looking for an excellent people manager who is highly organised and who will use their solutions-focused approach to identify process improvements to support the team with payroll administration, recruitment coordination, staff onboarding/offboarding, and general operational HR enquiries. You will need to lean on your experience in designing and delivering improved ways of working that will benefit both the HR team as well as our employees. As such, your knowledge of HRIS systems and their inputs/outputs will be crucial in helping to review data and develop our service levels in order to create effective and streamlined ways of delivering against KPIs.
Reporting to the Head of HR, you'll work closely with our Senior HR Business Partners and our HR Business Improvement Manager to identify best practice and to simplify, standardise and document processes and tasks. Ongoing management and oversight of those processes, their outputs and the team that enact them will then form the main focus of the role.
To succeed in this role, you will be adaptable with excellent planning skills so that you can turn your hand to everything from overseeing the HR Assistants in the accurate input of payroll data on a monthly basis, to coordinating the recruitment activity of a team with a diverse range of clients. You'll support the Senior HR Business Partners in the relationship management of our HRIS systems (Oleeo and iTrent) and will have sufficient knowledge and understanding of HR policies, procedures and employment legislation so that you can help your team resolve or escalate issues in a timely and effective way.
