Location is Burton Bradstock office Hive HQ and reports to: HR Manager and Director
Hours: Part-Time - 3 Afternoons per Week Monday, Wednesday and Friday, approx. 15 - 20 hours
We are seeking a qualified and experienced HR & Recruitment Officer to join our team on a part-time basis. This role is primarily focused on handling all HR matters, ensuring compliance with employment law, and safeguarding the business in all employee-related areas. The successful candidate will also provide recruitment support, assisting with the hiring process across departments.
Key Responsibilities:
HR (Primary Focus):
Act as the first point of contact for all employee relations matters.
Manage and advise on disciplinary, grievance, absence, and performance issues, in line with current employment legislation and company policy.
Draft and maintain accurate minutes and records of all formal meetings.
Ensure legally compliant outcomes in all employee issues, protecting the company's interests.
Assist with maintaining employee files and HR records in line with GDPR.
Support the review and development of company policies and procedures.
Provide HR guidance to managers and team leads.
Recruitment:
Draft and place job advertisements across appropriate platforms.
Monitor incoming applications and screen CVs.
Forward shortlisted candidates to relevant department heads.
Support managers with interview coordination and offer paperwork as needed.

Fully qualified in HR,5 years plus-

Strong, up-to-date knowledge of UK employment law -

Proven experience in handling employee relations, disciplinaries, and grievances
Experience in recruitment and candidate screening
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Highly organized and discreet with confidential information
Able to work independently and manage time effectively
Desirable:
Experience in the hospitality, retail, or service industry 5 years plus
Familiarity with HR software or recruitment systems
