Are you passionate about people, technology, and making a real impact in the workplace? Join our Reward and Information systems team as an HR Systems Apprentice and kickstart your career in Human Resources with hands-on experience in systems and processes that support a dynamic workforce.

As an HR Systems Apprentice, you'll play a key role in supporting the day-to-day operations of our HR systems. Working alongside experienced professionals, you'll gain valuable knowledge of HR processes, data management, and report building while studying towards a Data Analyst Apprenticeship. A salary increase will be awarded upon successful completion of the Data Analyst Apprenticeship.

You will primarily work closely with HR related data; helping the team to complete annual statutory returns as well as generating reports on a regular basis to share information with key stakeholders within the University. Microsoft Excel skills are essential to your role and experience working with BI tools would be beneficial. You will also play a key part in projects that develop the systems and technology used within the department by assisting with testing and future system upgrades.

You will be educated to GCSE level and have practical IT qualification or equivalent skills that enable you to produce outputs that match detailed user/technical requirements. The role requires someone who is not afraid to embrace technology and develop technical skills required to keep up with the tools needed to share information. Training will be provided to expand technical knowledge or skills that will help you perform your role.

We offer an excellent employment package including hybrid working, blending a mix of remote and on-campus working (dependent on work duties).

The University is deeply committed to equality and diversity for all its students and staff. We seek to be diverse and inclusive, supporting individuals and groups to fulfil their potential and nurture a sense of belonging.
