Job Overview
We have an exciting new opportunity for a dedicated and detail-oriented H&S and Warehouse Coordinator to join our team. The ideal candidate will oversee the efficient operation of our warehouse, as well as overseeing and undertaking responsibility for Health & Safety in the company.
Essential Duties
Warehouse management.
Investigating, recording and reporting incidents and accidents.
Support compliance with Health & Safety legislation, responsibilities and company obligations.
Create, conduct and maintain Risk Assessments, COSHH assessments and method statements using company systems.
Maintain accurate Health & Safety records and perform daily, weekly and monthly checks.
Monitor PPE stock levels, ensuring all issued PPE is recorded and compliant.
Ensuring all office and site equipment is PAT tested and signed off for safe use.
Fleet Management
Ensure timely and accurate insurance, taxing and MOTs for all company vehicles.
Complete and document weekly vehicle checks.
Ensure all company vehicles are serviced and repaired as needed.
Coordinate responses to vehicle breakdowns and arrange recoveries.
Organise hire vehicles when required.
Management of "Fleet Smart" tracking system, providing reports upon request.
Signing in and out of all company vehicles, and ensuring vans are returned in a clean and tidy state.
Insurance
Co-ordinate all company insurance policies.
Ensure vehicle accident claims are processed correctly and promptly.
Warehouse
Operate FLT to move and manage storage units within the warehouse.
Carry out equipment checks and co-ordinate necessary servicing.
Creating and maintaining of tool & equipment inventory, including but not limited to warehouse and site equipment.
Being responsible for key fobs and fuel cards, and ensuring items are signed out and returned as expected.
Maintaining a high level of cleanliness in the warehouse, to ensure all H&S standards are achieved.
Assisting all storage clients with queries, and overseeing the incoming and outgoing items.
Creation and overseeing of a successful inventory system for storage area.
Making sure "cleaning kits" for vehicles are fully stocked at all times, as well as ensuring they are signed in & out when issuing at all times.
Accreditation & Compliance
Maintain up-to-date records on relevant accreditation platforms (e.g., SafeContractor, Constructionline).
Support the implementation and ongoing compliance with ISO standards, assisting with audits, documentation, and continuous improvement efforts.
Person Specification
Minimum 1 year H&S experience (Preferred)
Full, clean UK driving licence (essential)
FLT licence (Preferred)
Expected working hours 8AM - 4PM, Monday to Friday
