Job Description

AAT are a leading, specialist Lifting and Safety Equipment Installation, Inspection, Repair and Maintenance Company, working within the Wind Energy Industry throughout the UK and Europe. Due to continued company growth, we require a motivated and enthusiastic Health Safety Environment and Quality Advisor.

Responsibilities



Ensuring high-levels of Health, Safety, Environmental & Quality compliance. Engagement and communication activities across the entire workforce to embed and reinforce a strong safety culture. Create an environment which encourages HSE engagement of the workforce, including near-miss reporting, generation of ideas for improvements. Help to carry out investigations into HSE related incidents and recommend changes. Manage internal and external audit process. Co-ordination and administration of health, safety, environmental and quality procedures and systems. Identify health and safety training requirements and manage meetings as required. Develop and extend current systems such as COSHH and Risk Assessment systems. Ensure working practices are safe and comply with legislation. Provide advice to the Company Director and Management Staff.

Qualifications



NEBOSH National General Certificate in Occupational Health and Safety a requirement. Other Health and Safety Qualifications, such as IOSH are advantageous. Qualifications in Managing and/or Auditing of ISO 9001, 14001 and 45001 Standards advantageous. You must possess a full, clean driving license. You will be required to pass a Wind Turbine Working at Height Medical and GWO Basic Safety Courses.

Competencies



Experience in the role of a Health and Safety Advisor. Working knowledge of ISO certifications (9001,1 4001, 45001) preferred, however suitable candidates from an H&S background will be considered where they are willing to develop into the Environment and Quality role with support and training. Experience of ISO/IEC 17020 and ISO/IEC 17025 an advantage. History and experience of team working An enthusiastic approach, self-motivated, able to work on own initiative and well organised Excellent communication and people skills, with ability to lead and influence A professional understanding of, and commitment to, the highest standard of health & safety in the work environment A good level of computer literacy

Starting salary dependent on qualifications and experience

This role is office based but may be required to visit client sites from time to time
