JOB PURPOSE
A key role within the organisation, supporting Managers and Technicians in all HSEQ matters
The HSEQ Advisor will assist in ensuring that all quality health, safety and environmental practices are aligned to key business objectives and allow the organisation to comply (and exceed) its statutory and contractual obligations.
This role will be responsible for the maintenance and improvement of the Integrated Management System (IMS).
Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities
Develop working relationships with all company employees and promote a culture of engagement and cooperation
To assist the HSEQ Manager in the delivery of HSEQ initiatives throughout the organisation and the management of business systems, in raising operational standards and contributing to the development & effective operation of Ecocel.
To monitor, review and improve the Integrated Management System to ensure compliance and identify opportunities for improvement.
To conduct and report ISO9001 / ISO14001 / ISO45001 audits and support operational teams with any external audits.
Completion of site safety and environment inspections
Compile reports to inform the HSEQ Manager of audit findings and incident trends to facilitate improvement
Support the development and implementation of risk management processes, including task risk assessments, COSHH assessments and construction design management.
Support creation of safe systems of work documentation (construction phase plans, RAMS, traffic management plans)
Delivery of new employee inductions
Identify knowledge/ skills gaps and implement supportive corrective actions to meet these needs and to help ensure competency levels are attained and maintained
Identify any operational and regulatory risks, escalating as appropriate and provide competent advice and recommendations.
Understand the health, safety, environmental & legal requirements associated with site operations and ensure compliance. Help site teams understand issues regarding health, safety and the environment.
To support and where necessary lead accident and incident investigation, utilising root cause analysis and provide advice to operational teams on effective preventative measures to reduce risk.
Maintain records to demonstrate legal compliance and to satisfy customer requirements
All other duties as directed by the HSEQ Manager
