Job Summary
HSEQ delivery across the Port Clarence Facility and Industrial Services .
This includes managing compliance and supporting continuous improvement across Port Clarence & IS client locations by risk assessment, inspections, audits, coaching, site support and safe implementation of requirements of the environmental permits. Participate in process safety studies where relevant. Collaborate as a member of Group HSEQ to develop standards and guidelines which are closely aligned across all Augean businesses. Contributing to the day to day safe and compliant operation of Augean sites and offsite work areas by assessing and identifying improvements while working with the operations and IS teams to overcome challenges

. Key Responsibilities
Promote and embed a proactive safety culture through positive engagement on site and throughout Augean's Group activities.
Deliver prescribed project HSEQ initiatives.
Provide advice, support and guidance on all aspects of HSEQ planning and operations to ensure compliance and standards are maintained; and promote and deliver procedural changes to align with good, safe working practices.
Conduct documented site inspections of sites and IS project sites for environmental, health and safety and quality issues.
Respond to and close out HSEQ queries from both internal (i.e. Augean) and external (i.e. stakeholder) sources.
Delivery of onsite training and toolbox talks to staff, contractors and customers as required.
Lead investigations and support the delivery of preventative and corrective control measures to prevent repeat incidents, using the most appropriate root cause analysis techniques.
Check and ensure compliance with environmental permits, standards, statutory guidance and consents relevant to each site.
Participate in process safety studies (HAZID/HAZOP/LOPA, etc) where relevant.
Take part in and lead internal/external site audits as required.
Review and report on daily incident reporting identifying unsafe acts and conditions and safe acts / good practice for health and safety, environmental and quality issues.
Data analysis and identify trends and review reported safety events and incidents.
Input / contribution of ESG data related to HSEQ bids and annual reporting.
Review progress against all relevant HSEQ actions recorded on an action tracking system for the site and review with site mangers to ensure timely completion and closure.
Member of Emergency Response team.
Assist with delivering HSEQ campaign programme.
Support and collaborate with value-stream managers to ensure compliance of all permitted facilities and 3rd party sites, including duty of care.
Support the commercial team by providing input to bids, tenders, account & project deliverables, and business performance reviews as appropriate. Note: this is strictly a support role, delivery and accountability lie with the Commercial Team.
Maintain continuous professional development for self.
Any other reasonable duties as and when required.
4. Critical Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills and Experience
Relevant degree or equivalent experience in the waste management industry.
H&S Diploma (preferred) or Certificate (essential).
Industrial services experience (essential).
Auditor qualification (preferred).
Knowledge of environmental permitting requirements and relevant Environment Agency technical guidance and HSE technical guidance relevant to the waste sector and IS work.
Knowledge of HAZOP and HAZID.
Experience of conducting investigations and root cause analysis.
Project delivery experience.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Experience of driving change.
A reputation for promotion of, and enthusiasm for, continuous improvement.
Self-starter.
Accomplished in computer use and operating systems including MS Excel, Word and Outlook.
Full and current driving licence.
Ability to focus on detail and complete administrative duties to tight deadlines.
Experience of and ability to work in a methodical, organised and systematic manner.
