Health, Safety, Environment & Quality Manager

Newark, Nottinghamshire

60,000 - 70,000 + Car Allowance

Eaton Syalon are supporting a confidential client with the appointment of an experienced Health & Safety Manager. This is a senior role with responsibility for driving compliance, ensuring safe working practices and leading the Health & Safety function across the organisation.

We are seeking a Health & Safety professional with proven experience in high-risk, construction-led environments. The ideal candidate will have a strong background within construction H&S, civil engineering, groundworks, geotechnical or infrastructure projects, or environments involving heavy plant and machinery.

You will be confident working on active construction sites, understanding the unique hazards associated with piling, drilling, excavation and heavy equipment.

NEBOSH National Diploma (or equivalent) is essential.

Key duties include:

Leading Health & Safety processes, policies and continuous improvement Conducting audits, inspections and risk assessments Managing incident investigations and corrective actions Driving compliance across multiple teams and work areas Maintaining and developing management systems Producing accurate Health & Safety reports for senior leadership Providing guidance, training and support to colleagues Influencing safe behaviours and promoting a strong safety culture

About You

We are looking for a proven Health & Safety Manager who can demonstrate:

NEBOSH National Diploma - Essential

Strong knowledge of Health & Safety legislation Experience leading investigations, audits and risk assessments Ability to develop and implement effective H&S policies Confident communication and stakeholder influence Strong report writing and organisational skills Full UK driving licence
Desirable experience includes exposure to environmental or quality management standards (such as ISO 9001 or ISO 14001), mental health first aid or wellbeing training, membership of a recognised construction safety body (APS, IOSH, IIRSM or CIOB), and experience designing and delivering training programmes for operational staff.

Working Hours: Monday - Friday (4 days office based, 1 day working from home per week)
Salary: 60,000 - 70,000
