Job Overview


We are seeking a dedicated and proactive Human Resource Officer to join our team. This role is essential in supporting the organisation's operational needs by managing various administrative functions and ensuring effective communication across departments. The ideal candidate will possess strong organisational skills, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to utilise various software tools to enhance productivity.

Responsibilities



Have a clear understanding of your employer's business objectives and be able to devise and implement policies that support them Write and develop job descriptions, person specifications and job adverts Manage the application process - check application forms, shortlist, interview, select successful candidate/s and inform unsuccessful ones. Help to Appoint, develop and retain the right staff. Ensure that prospective staff have the right to work at the organisation Provide support in various operational tasks as required, ensuring a smooth workflow within the organisation. Act as the first point of contact for employee queries and grievances. Support employee wellbeing initiatives and promote a safe, inclusive culture. Advise on pay and other benefits, Organise team events and recognition schemes Prepare staff handbooks, administer payroll and maintain employee records Develop and implement policies and protocols on issues such as working conditions, performance management, equal opportunities, deal with grievances and implement disciplinary procedures, absence management

Requirements



Degree in Human Resource Management, Business, Psychology, or related field.

CIPD Level 3

or above preferred. Proven experience in administrative roles with a strong emphasis on data entry and record management. 2-5 years' experience in an HR role, ideally within a regulated, manufacturing, or life sciences environment is preferrable Knowledge of HR functions (pay, benefits, recruitment, training & development) Strong understanding of UK employment law and HR best practices Understanding of the employee lifecycle and processes and procedures Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to engage effectively with diverse audiences. Strong organisational skills with an ability to prioritise tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment. A proactive approach to problem-solving and a willingness to learn new software applications as needed.

Pay: 11.44-12.50 per hour
