Job Description

Are you looking to take your next step in HR? Do you have a passion for making a meaningful impact on the lives of young, vulnerable learners?

If so, this

part-time HR Advisor

role could be the perfect opportunity for you.

About Us:

We are a dedicated and supportive alternative provision, providing bespoke mentoring and education for young, vulnerable learners.

Our provision is a transition rather than a destination setting - supporting a variety of learners, including those that need time out from their home school, at risk of permanent exclusion, those awaiting a special school placement and young people from out of county.

We work with learners with a variety of difficulties and conditions including autism, ADHD, SEMH, sensory issues, trauma, brain injuries and learning difficulties. A large focus of our work is helping young people who have behavioural concerns or mental health problems.

We aim to restore young people's self-confidence, self-esteem, self-control and self-motivation through a flexible, personalised, needs-led programme with unconditional care, nurture and support.

Every day at our provision is a fresh start for our learners!

About the Role:

As a Part-time HR Advisor, you will play a crucial role in supporting our team across all sites, offering HR guidance and expertise to managers and staff. This is a fantastic opportunity for an HR professional looking to take the next step in their career, gaining broader responsibilities and exposure. You will also have the opportunity to contribute to our health and safety initiatives, ensuring a safe and supportive environment for both staff and learners.

You will be expected to travel to our different sites in Wiltshire.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide HR advice and support on employee relations, performance management, and policy guidance. Assist in the recruitment, onboarding, and development of staff, ensuring a positive employee experience. Support the development and implementation of HR policies and procedures. Advise on HR best practices, employment law, and compliance. Conduct compliance and safeguarding checks, ensuring all staff meet required standards for working with vulnerable learners. Contribute to health and safety oversight, ensuring safe working practices across all sites. Travel to different sites as required to provide hands-on support. Collaborate with managers to identify training and development needs.

About You:

Proven experience in an HR advisory or HR assistant role, ideally within the education or social care sector. Strong understanding of employment law and HR best practices. Understanding of health and safety requirements. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build strong relationships. Organised, self-motivated, and able to work independently. Adaptable, resilient and able to diversify to support the team when required. Willingness to travel between sites, with flexibility to work from home and the office as needed. Passionate about supporting vulnerable young people and making a positive impact.

Why Join Us?

Work closely with a dedicated and diverse team. Opportunity for professional growth and development. Be part of a dynamic, growth-focused team committed to expanding opportunities for young learners. A supportive working environment where no two days are the same.
This is a part-time role, to cover at least 3 days a week. School hours and term-time hours will be considered. Salary will be prorated in line with the agreed hours.

How to Apply:

If this role sounds like the perfect next step for you, please submit your CV and a cover letter outlining your suitability for the role.
