Brief Description





This rewarding role will be supporting Stations, Safety and the Programme directorate team alongside the HR Business Partner.


In this role you'll deliver proactive and professional HR support to empower the HR Business Partner team in driving impactful HR solutions, bringing the people strategy to life for the organisations we support. This role will also support the New Street Station, as we know it is a very busy station with about 35.3 million passengers entries and exit. It is vital we get the right candidate in post to support with ad hoc administrative and operational HR activity.


We require someone with strong communication skills, particularly with experience of detailed reporting analysis. It will also require someone who can use their initiative to look beyond the day-to-day requirements and suggest ways we can improve what we currently do that will support our Stations, Safety and the Programme directorate team. Employee Relations knowledge would be helpful, alongside working knowledge of HR processes and policies and how they are applied.

About the role (External)





As a Human Resource Business Partner Support, you will play a key role in delivering proactive and professional HR support to the HR Business Partner teams and the wider business. Your responsibilities will include supporting talent management, workforce and succession planning, and performance planning, while ensuring data accuracy throughout these processes. You will contribute to organisational change programmes through all stages of development and implementation, as well as provide essential project management support by tracking progress, measuring outcomes, and communicating key milestones. Your involvement will be crucial in ensuring the smooth execution of HR initiatives.


In addition, you will assist in research, data analysis, and the preparation of reports to support various HR projects and strategic objectives. A continuous improvement mindset is essential, as you will be expected to identify and develop opportunities to enhance the effectiveness of HR support. Maintaining up-to-date professional HR knowledge will enable you to contribute meaningfully to both operational tasks and strategic initiatives. You will take ownership of assigned deliverables within broader HR programmes and provide ad hoc administrative and operational support to the HR Business Partner teams, ensuring seamless coordination and execution of HR activities.

o Demonstrates strong customer service skills.


o Experience of working within a large, complex and fast moving organisation.


o High level of accuracy and attention to detail.


o Strong written and verbal communication skills.


o Strong time management, organisation and prioritisation skills and the ability to work under pressure and to deadlines.


o Resilient, Adaptable and Flexible.


o IT literate, strong excel, word and PowerPoint knowledge.


o Experience of event coordination and facilitation.


o Research and analytical skills.


o Strong relationship building skills.


o Experience of supporting the delivery of HR initiatives and projects.


It's not mandatory to have the below, but it would be desirable to have:




o CIPD Qualified or relevant HR Support experience.


o Graduate Calibre



Salary:

Circa 27,000 dependant on experience
