Job Title: Human Resources Officer



Location: Barnsley Hospital NHS Foundation Trust



Hours: 37.5 hours Monday to Friday (Temp for 6 months)



Trust Location: Barnsley Hospital, Gawber Road, Barnsley, S75 2EP



What you'll be responsible for:



1. Acting as the lead HR contact for a specific cluster of Clinical Business Units on all aspects of Human Resource service, referring more complex matters to the Human Resource Business Partners where appropriate.

2. To work across other clinical business units as and when required in order to ensure the HR Business Partner team meet their key performance indicators. To produce a monthly HR performance report for each Clinical Business Unit and present this at monthly departmental meetings as delegated by the HR Business Partner.

3. To take proactive action to improve HR performance indicators for each Clinical Business Unit (sickness, mandatory training, appraisals).

4. To operate as a team player ensuring that knowledge, information and research are shared to enable the HR Directorate to develop and provide a cohesive, professional service.

5. To provide day to day HR advice, support and information to Clinical Directors, Matrons, Lead Nurses, Managers and staff on the implementation of Trust policies for handling discipline, grievance, recruitment and selection, bullying and harassment, absence management, capability, organisational change issues and agenda for change issues, taking due regard of statutory obligations.

You'll learn the following whilst working at the trust:

An in depth understanding of the roles and responsibilities involved in working within the NHS

Knowledge of the systems used, to effectively complete your role to the highest standard at all times

3.

A sense of teamwork, gained through working alongside and supporting colleagues from all levels, within the organisation

You'll have the following skills/experience:



Microsoft Office package knowledge e.g., Outlook, Word, Excel

Communications skills- both verbal and written

Excellent telephone manner

Ability to meet deadlines and manage workload

Previous HR experience

This role may require you to show evidence of vocational level 3 qualification or at least 2 years relevant experience.
