The HR Team at Isle of Man Post Office is looking for an HR professional to join the team on an 11 month Limited term contract providing line manager advice and support across generalist areas including, employee relations, policy research & development, recruitment and legal compliance.
The suitable candidate will have a CIPD or equivalent qualification; or a proven level of relevant experience together with the drive for the continuous improvement of HR policies, processes and documentation.
We are looking for somebody who has:
Extensive knowledge and practice of core HR functions (recruitment, employee relations, performance management, compensation)
Experience of supporting leaders to undertake the HR related responsibilities required for their role
Solid understanding of IOM employment legislation
Competent user of HR software and systems (People HR desirable)
Application of HR best practice evidencing continual improvement of process and procedures
You will be:
A team player and independent worker
Confident to challenge and escalate when necessary
Able to multitask and prioritise workload
A strong communicator demonstrating professionalism and diplomacy to achieve action driven outcomes
A confident coach and mentor to support best practice
Able to problem solve with good analytical skills
