About the Role

As a

Hygiene Operative

, you will play a crucial role in maintaining hygiene and sanitation standards across our food processing plant. Your work will directly contribute to food safety compliance, ensuring our operations meet the highest standards.

Key Responsibilities

Clean and sanitize production areas, machinery, and equipment in line with hygiene standards. Identify and report areas that require attention or improvement. Work effectively in both hot and cold environments. Maintain accurate records of all cleaning and sanitation activities. Safely handle and store cleaning chemicals and equipment (COSHH training provided). Collaborate with production teams to ensure hygiene procedures are followed during operations. Dismantle and reassemble equipment after training, as part of the cleaning process.

What We're Looking For

Experience in industrial hygiene or cleaning within a food production environment is preferred but not essential. Understanding of food safety standards such as HACCP and GMP is advantageous. Comfortable working in varying temperatures. Strong attention to detail with a systematic approach to tasks. Basic math skills, including percentages, to calculate cleaning solution strengths. Good communication skills and a strong team player. Reliable, punctual, and flexible to work the designated night shift.
