Design Engineer - Independent Connection Provider (ICP)

What You'll Do

Design safe, compliant, and cost-effective

LV, HV, and (where applicable) EHV networks

. Generate layouts, cable calculations, protection studies and substation designs that turn concepts into reality. Use industry-leading software VisNet Design, Auto CAD or similar. Work with

DNOs, IDNOs, developers, and contractors

to secure approvals and deliver the best solutions. Support project managers and construction teams, ensuring designs move seamlessly from paper to energisation. Be part of a team that's committed to

What You'll Bring

A degree or HNC/HND in Electrical Engineering (or equivalent experience). Experience designing distribution networks within an

ICP, DNO

setting. A solid grasp of G81 standards and ENA Engineering Recommendations The ability to balance technical accuracy with practical, buildable designs. A curious mindset -- always looking for better, smarter ways of working.
