We are looking for someone who is interested in managing a talented team, influencing the strategic direction of the service, playing an important role in delivering Corporate Business Systems Projects, and taking charge of key contracts.

As Group Manager you will:
Deputise for the Head of Service where appropriate and represent ICT at a senior management level across SMBC
Be responsible for the development and management of performance data relating to all key system responsibilities
Be responsible for the ICT Contracts Register, ensuring procurement processes are followed in a timely manner.
Work with colleagues across the service to ensure successful delivery of Corporate ICT Programmes
Be responsible for the management of ICT Budgets as appropriate ensuring compliance with financial regulations
Be responsible for the Management of key technologies; ensuring that they are maintained in accordance with the supplier roadmap
Lead and manage annual compliance checks and audits as and when required
Identify and manage risks within their service in accordance with corporate procedure
You will have:
A Degree with a significant technical component, or recognised relevant Qualification (e.g. HND / Foundation degree), including a formal qualification in management such as ILM OR the ability to demonstrate through extended relevant experience, the necessary specialist knowledge, skills and management experience to undertake the full range of duties of the post
In depth technical knowledge of Business Systems and emerging technologies
Experience of leading and managing a team(s)
Experience of managing key critical contracts and budgets
