Description:



We have an excellent role in our friendly IT team of 3 who support Fulford School and our five primary schools in the Trust.

Your duties will include:



You will support our learners and staff by providing a friendly and responsive service across a range of ICT areas giving technical support duties e.g. basic hardware troubleshooting & maintenance, basic system / software support and support with printer / photocopier hardware.

The main purpose of the job will include:



Connects, sets up and checks PC's and peripherals for normal operation. Performs routine maintenance tasks, including installation of basic software packages and setting up common options. Performs basic PC hardware repairs and upgrades. Maintains common hardware found in school, install applications and trouble-shoots problems. Carries out routine maintenance procedures eg installs service packs. Assists in the maintenance and development of school's ICT networks, including school backup, virus protection and security procedures. Maintains the school's intranet and website by uploading pages and files as required. Carries out basic safety checks, including some portable equipment testing. Follows relevant Health and Safety procedures and raise awareness among staff, pupils and other users. Diagnoses and resolves basic PC, printer, peripherals and software faults. Perform basic routines for checking status of both PC suites and individual computers.

You will have:



We are looking for someone who already has experience within an IT support environment who has a good knowledge and experience of helpdesk software, basic PC hardware, software and applications.

The postholder would require knowledge and experience of:

Fault finding and resolution Overcoming common user errors Installation of software Health and Safety Setting up systems Demonstrating the correct use of equipment and systems
You will have proven customer service skills and work well in a team environment as well as having the personality and ability to take individual responsibility for providing a high quality service.

Travel between sites is a requirement of the role therefore applicants must have a driving licence.
