Duties/Responsibilities




Location: W1, London

Salary: 30,000 DOE

Working hours: 0800 to 1700 Monday to Friday

What you will do
Act as the central focus for Access Control management across the BBC account. Compliant operational delivery of Access Control management services to the BBC Support the Operational Teams with issues linked to Access Control management systems. Maintain a consistent method of reporting Access Control events with appropriate actions, reports and follow-up arrangements Ensure a consistent approach to maintaining records of auditing of Access Control systems Maintain an Access Control performance tracker and produce standardised reports as required. Undertake, specific training for ID Units and Local Radio Administrators as required Establish effective relationships and work closely with operational managers across the BBC Account, advising and supporting in respect of Access Control Management Systems.
Support the investigation of incidents / failures to the Access Control system to determine root causes and preventive measures.
Provide ID Unit services / support to regional ID units across the account including cover for W1 ID Unit teams.
Provide card printing services for BBC ID cards including encoding of fobs and security keys across the BBC estates.
Compile, analyse, and interpret statistical data related to Access Control reporting. Undertake other duties associated with effective management of Access Control as necessary or as directed Be involved in and contribute to team meetings To prepare and maintain a hand over where required Advise the Line Manager of exceptional issues relating to Access Card Management Ensure that robust resilience planning is undertaken and maintained to prevent system failures Develop and drive initiatives to reduce cost and deliver excellence and continual improvement in Access Control management + Understand and adapt continuously to client business drivers, challenges and expectations.
+ Understand the contract terms and conditions and customer expectations at a detailed level and take ownership for the outcomes.Fulfil all reasonable requests from both visitors & client employees to ensure their comfort, satisfaction and safety.

Person Specification




Proven experience in a systems administrator role or similar Proven experience within a customer service environment Strong knowledge of administrative and clerical procedures Attention to detail, a focus on standards, methodical & organised High quality interpersonal skills, with excellent written and spoken communication skills both to individuals and groups
Self-disciplined and able to work on own initiative with the ability to make decisions without continual referral to line manager in a fast paced, changeable environment Flexible and adaptable approach to work with good problem-solving skills Have a professional "can do attitude" gets things done, no problem is too small or too large Experience with assisting with queries in person, by email or via telephone Be a team player that will help & support team members in the wider team Be flexible to work across other teams and departments when business demands Able to work under pressure and meet deadlines. Educated to GCSE standard with passes in English & Maths Computer literate, competent with the Microsoft Office suite including Word, Excel, PowerPoint
