Our Immigration Department handles a diverse portfolio of immigration and asylum matters, delivering client-focused and results-driven legal solutions.
We are seeking an experienced
Immigration Solicitor
to join our growing team, who is passionate about helping clients navigate complex immigration laws and committed to maintaining the firm's high standards of service.
Role Overview
The successful candidate will manage a varied caseload of private and business immigration matters, including visa applications, appeals, asylum claims, and sponsorship compliance. You will be expected to work independently, supervise junior team members when needed, and contribute to the continued growth of the department.
Key Responsibilities
Handle a full range of
immigration and asylum cases
, including:
Spouse, fiance(e), and family visas
Skilled Worker and Sponsor Licence applications
British citizenship and ILR applications
Asylum, human rights, and appeal matters
Advise clients on UK immigration legislation, Home Office policies, and procedural requirements.
Draft legal documents, representations, and appeals before the First-tier Tribunal and Upper Tribunal.
Maintain accurate case records and ensure compliance with the firm's internal procedures and
Lexcel
standards.
Keep up-to-date with immigration law updates and relevant case law.
Support and supervise paralegals or trainees within the department.
Ensure all client communication is handled professionally, confidentially, and efficiently.
Key Requirements
Qualified
Solicitor
(minimum
2 years PQE
) with proven experience in
UK immigration and asylum law
.
Strong understanding of Home Office procedures, UKVI policies, and tribunal processes.
Excellent drafting and advocacy skills.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a client-focused approach.
Ability to manage a high-volume caseload independently and meet deadlines.
Accreditation under the
Law Society's Immigration & Asylum Accreditation Scheme (IAAS)
will be an advantage.
