Adam Bernard Solicitors is seeking an experienced and dedicated
Immigration Solicitor
to join our expanding Immigration Department. This role is ideal for someone with strong experience in both
personal
and
business immigration
, who can independently manage a varied caseload and deliver high-quality legal advice to clients.
You will work with a diverse client base, handle complex matters, and contribute to the continued growth of the department.
Key Responsibilities
Manage and progress your own caseload with minimal supervision.
Provide clear, accurate, and practical legal advice on UK immigration matters, including:
Spouse/partner visas
Skilled Worker visas
Sponsor Licence applications
Visitor visas
Settlement (ILR)
Naturalisation & citizenship
EUSS matters
Private Life and Human Rights applications
Appeals, Administrative Reviews, and Pre-Action Protocol matters
Prepare and submit applications to the Home Office and relevant authorities.
Draft legal representations, client statements, and supporting documents.
Attend client consultations, interviews, and tribunal hearings where required.
Maintain accurate and compliant file management in line with SRA and Lexcel standards.
Liaise with clients, counsel, the Home Office, and third parties professionally.
Keep up to date with changes in immigration law, policy, and UKVI guidance.
Support junior staff or paralegals where appropriate.
Contribute to business development and client relationship management.
Key Skills & Experience Required
Qualified Solicitor (1-3 years PQE or equivalent experience in immigration).
Strong knowledge of UK immigration law and Home Office procedures.
Experience handling both personal and business immigration matters.
Excellent drafting, communication, and advocacy skills.
Ability to manage a busy caseload independently.
Strong attention to detail and high professional standards.
Good client-care skills and the ability to build strong client relationships.
Experience with appeals or tribunal advocacy is desirable (but not essential).
Familiarity with Lexcel and SRA compliance requirements.
