to expand our current Import team, to assist with the smooth running of the department. Working 09:00-17:30 Monday to Friday, including a one hour break each day.
Main Responsibilities:
Monitor Pre-Alerts from foreign agents and raise import files.
Create records in the ERTS system ready for clearance.
Handling files from start to finish.
Ensure all relevant and legal documentation is in place for the Customs Clearance.
Complete and check customs entries, checking the CPC to be used after receiving instructions from the client.
Ensure the client file is completed with the release information before delivery is organised.
Support management with deliveries in the transport department taking into consideration, size, value location and urgency of delivery.
Support management to ensure that we are meeting the client's needs.
Represent the company by demonstrating high levels of customer service and a professional attitude at all times.
Undertake additional duties, or assist other members of staff, as may be reasonably requested by the Manager or Directors
Essential:
Have a good knowledge of import procedure codes and various import entries.
Hold a full UK driving, or be able to easily commute to our Sunbury office.
Have a good knowledge of the English language both verbal and written.
The ability to prioritise and organise own workload to tight deadlines.
Strong communication skills: the ability to communicate effectively with the client and colleagues.
Be a team player in the import team, as well as working with members of staff across all other departments.
Sound knowledge of IT - Word, Excel and experience of using a CRM system.
Desirable:
Experience of transporting valuable goods.
Knowledge of London and the local area.
